Archie Mason Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lambie Funeral Home - Philadelphia on Oct. 3, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Archie Lee Mason Senior, 73, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away on September 26, 2025, loved by family and friends. There are many things we can focus on and with different experiences, examples and lessons but the words I would use would not do more justice than my father's own words.

Saved at the age of 17 and going back to the alter numerous times just to make or be sure I was. Married and blessed with 7 children, went to Bible school and was ordained a minister of God to preach the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in Mar 1987 and installed an assistant Pastor of Evangel Chapel not long after ordination. That day of Ordination into the ministry of God was (aside from being born again) one of the most special and precious days of my life. The Lord saw fit to allow me labor in the ministry as a 1st deacon the Sunday School Superintendent, head of the men's fellowship, SMF President musician, teacher, counselor, father, husband, street preacher and provider. I love the Lord and pray that he'll continue to allow me to preach, teach, fellowship and Glorify his name as long as I live. Born in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, second of 11 children and moved to Philadelphia at the age of 13 years old had my first full time job at 14years old. Went to and finished high school, went to and finished trade school, and one business school and Bible School. Most of all I love the Lord because He first loved me. AMEN.

He was born to parents Mary Jane and Amos Mason, on September 8, 1952, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Archie graduated from Thomas Edison High School and received a certification in Commercial Machinist. He graduated from Manna Bible Institute (2nd in his class) in March 1987. Father of 7 Children, Grandfather to as he would say "oodles" of grandchildren and most importantly follower of The Lord Jesus Christ. This is a sad day for us physically but spiritually we rejoice because He is in Glory. As his family we will honor his wishes and ask the question "Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior? Tomorrow is promised to no man, but eternity is within your grasp. John 3:16.

Relatives and friends may greet his family on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 9:00 am - 10:45 am at Calvary Chapel Word of Life, 60 East Haines Street, Philadelphia, PA 19144. Archie's Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 am at the church. Interment will take place at Westminster Cemetery.
