Ardis Rusch

Ardis Elaine Rusch, of Antigo, died on August 26, 2025 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. She was 93 years old. She was born on October 10, 1931 in Antigo, a daughter of Ted and Emma (Kakes) Meinert. She married Jack Rusch on March 17, 1951 at Peace Lutheran in Antigo. He preceded her in death on December 11, 2021.

She was a graduate of Antigo High School, class of 1949.

Ardis and Jack wintered in Eufuala, Alabama and summered at Post Lake.

She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Deerbook and Edwin Methodist Church in Edwin, Alabama. She volunteered at church and for the Hyland Lakes Lion's Club.

Ardis loved to bake and cook, she enjoyed knitting and sewing. She enjoyed playing board games, puzzles, cards and BINGO. Her greatest treasures were her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, Greg (Kathy) Rusch of Antigo, Gary (Jeanne) Rusch of DeForest, and Tim (Mary) Rusch of Summit Lake; two daughters, Vicki (Bruce) Marshall of Bass Lake and Paula (John Schacher) Spiegl of Antigo; eight grandchildren, Brian (Whitney) Rusch, Amanda (Nick) Schommer, Jenny (Don Malotke) Kippley, Katie (Bob) Spangler, Jack (Nichole) Rusch, Ashley (Mike) Van Ooyen, Lacey (Bert White) Perrot, and Justin Spiegl; 19 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; a sister-in-law, Mae Meinert of Antigo; and her friends at Pine Meadow.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Dan Rusch; father and mother-in-law, John and Evelyn Rusch; a brother, Mike Meinert; sister-in-law, Donna (Dwight) Teske and brother-in-law, David (Mary) Rusch.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 30 at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Deerbrook with Rev. Paul Radke officiating. Burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Antigo.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home and on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.
