Ardyce Jean (Goranson) Harms, born in St. Paul, Minnesota on September 28, 1943, passed away unexpectedly while vacationing in Branson, Missouri on October 9, 2025 at the age of 82. She spent her childhood years on the Goranson family farm northwest of Shafer, Minnesota.
Ardyce was a lifelong member of Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City, Minnesota. She married David Harms from Deerwood, Minnesota on May 2, 1970, and celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in May of this year.
Ardyce spent all her 12 years of schooling at the Lindstrom-Center City-Shafer school district and graduated from Chi-Hi in Lindstrom, Minnesota in 1961. She attended Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis, Minnesota after high school and worked as a secretary at a few companies in downtown Minneapolis. She also helped her husband David with their family business selling wholesale bait for many years.
Over the years Ardyce enjoyed camping with family and friends, traveled to Branson and Arizona. Ardyce participated in a bowling league, liked to read Readers Digest, devotions, and magazines. David and she always had a vegetable garden and flowers. Ardyce remembered others as she was an avid letter writer and greeting card sender.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Edna (Nordeen) Goranson, brothers-in-law Tom Bourasa, Floyd Harms, Howard Harms, Doug Abear, Bill Enlund, Charlie Anderson and sister-in-law Ethel "Toots" Abear, Nancy Harms, Elsie Harms, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
