Aren Diana Kavan
1999 – 2025
A light who walked between worlds.
There are souls who do not just live-they glow. Aren Diana Kavan was one of them. She moved through this world like river water-shimmering, strong, ever-changing-unfolding into every space she entered with fierce love and wild grace.
At 25, Aren had already carved galaxies into the lives of those who knew her. A brilliant artist, a musician of raw emotion, a welder whose hands summoned fire and form-she made beauty in ways that bent the rules of what the world expected. In an industry that often tried to doubt her, she stood firm, sparks flying, steel bending to her will. She dreamed of teaching others to hold the torch-to light their own way, as she always had.
She loved like Chihiro-wholeheartedly, without caution. She carried the tenderness of someone who had seen many shadows, and still chose to love anyway. And like Haku, there was something ancient in her knowing-something that whispered of rivers and wind, of stories that go on even after names are forgotten.
She leaves behind two sons, Clint and Walker, who were the sky to her spirit. They adored her. In their laughter and courage, her magic lives on.
Aren was not just someone you met-she was someone you felt. She lingers in brushstrokes and melodies, in the hum of a welder's torch, in the moments when love is offered without explanation. She is everywhere and nowhere, like a name carried away on the wind.
A public visitation will be held at DuPage Funeral Chapel (951 W. Washington Street, West Chicago) on Wednesday, July 16th, from 4 - 8 pm.
Somewhere, beyond the lantern-lit paths and forgotten train tracks, she runs barefoot toward the spirit world-free, remembered, and loved beyond words.
