Arlene Sandherr Hasler

Arlene’s faith in God and her love of family and friends were the embodiment of her life. Her positive outlook on life, her enthusiastic personality and her artistic flair enriched the lives of all who came in contact with her. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Arlene S. Hasler left this world on September 22, 2023. She was born, October 30,1929, in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. She met her husband, Dick in high school. Together for over 67 years, she supported Dick in his ministry at churches in New Jersey, Connecticut, New York and Ohio. Also, throughout the years, she was an executive secretary at the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad company, worked in the financial aid office at Princeton University and was a receptionist at Alfred State University.
Preceded in death by her parents Ellsworth and Katie Sandherr, her husband Richard Hasler, and her brothers Donald and Galen Sandherr. She is survived by her daughter Karen (Mike) Kelly of Hudson, OH and their children Michael (Ashley) Kelly of Highland Park, IL, Katie Kelly of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and Erin (Chris) Corich of Lakewood, OH, her son Rick (Cindy) Hasler of Centerville, OH and their children: Jennifer (Chris) Pawelski of Liberty Township, OH and Lindsay (Chris) Kelley of Centerville, OH. and her four great grandchildren, Maeve and Reid Kelly and Graham and Emma Pawelski.
A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Hudson, on October 14, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. The service will be live streamed on the church’s website www.hudsonucc.org . Following the service, a reception will be held in the fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Congregational Church of Hudson, 47 Aurora St., Hudson, OH 44236. Arrangements entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory.
