Arlene Maxwell (née Kujawa), age 93, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, in Greenfield, Wisconsin. Born on March 17, 1932, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Arlene was the daughter of Raymond and Nettie Kujawa.

She spent her life rooted in the community she loved, bringing joy and warmth to those around her through her vibrant spirit and generous heart.

Arlene had a deep love for music and found great joy in singing. She was a devoted member of the Blessed Sacrament Church Choir, where her voice uplifted many during services and special occasions. Her passion for community extended beyond music - she also served as President of the Women's Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, dedicating her time and energy to supporting charitable efforts and fostering fellowship.

She embraced life with enthusiasm and a sense of fun. Whether playing bingo or sharing laughter with friends and family, Arlene brought lightness and joy to every gathering. Her zest for life was infectious, leaving lasting memories for all who knew her.

Arlene was preceded in death by her husbands James Maxwell and Bert Miller; her parents Raymond and Nettie Kujawa; brother-in-law Frank Zielinski; and nieces Pam Zielinski, M.D. and grand-daughter Sarah Maxwell.

She is survived by her loving sister Barbara; daughter Donna; son Robert; daughter-in-law Laurine; grandsons Christopher, Lucas and Matthew; great-grandson Evan; nieces Carolyn (Roger) and Liz (Jesse); along with many other cherished relatives and friends.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Autumn Lake - especially Loraine, Shanta and Richard - for their kindness and care. Special thanks also go to Brighton Hospice Care for their support during Arlene's final days.

May Arlene's memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire joy in the lives she touched.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, visitation at 10:00 AM, Mass at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church, 3100 South 41st Street, Milwaukee, WI 53215.

In lieu of flowers, donations accepted to Blessed Sacrament or The American Cancer Society on behalf of the family.

I met Arlene while she was married to Burt. I cherish the times I got to see her. She was a caring loving lady. I loved when she would sing and Uncle Burt would play the piano. I loved her laugh. My spirits were always lifted when she was around. I did not get to see her after Uncle Burt passed. I always wondered how she was doing, where she was.... I missed seeing her. Hugs and prayers to each and everyone who's life she touched.

We will always remember Arlene as an outgoing, bubbly personality who was very special to the Miller family. She played a significant role in the life of our grandfather and father - Bert Miller. She kept him on the move and very active with such a loving relationship for the last 18 years of his life. She stayed close with our family after Bert's passing in 2007 and will always be remembered as the sweet lady that she was. God Bless you Arlene - may you rest in peace.
