Arlene Patrick Obituary

Visit the Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Salem website to view the full obituary.

Arlene (Sunshine) Ellen Patrick, age 76, of Salem, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home.

Sunshine was born on September 16, 1949, and was adopted at a young age by her loving parents, Martha and Martin Kamensky. She was a proud graduate of Boardman High School, Class of 1967.

Sunshine devoted her life to her family. She was an amazing mother and grandmother whose love, strength, and selflessness touched everyone who knew her. She was a devoted caregiver to her son Bobby, whom she cared for with unwavering patience and love. Her family was always her greatest priority.

She found joy in the simple things-especially collecting snowmen and enjoying her favorite flavors: lemon, raspberry, and pumpkin. She also deeply loved her golden retriever, Daisy, who brought her constant companionship and comfort.

She is survived by her children, Bill Patrick (Meredith Kochunas), Kari Patrick (Josh Brown), and Bobby Patrick; her beloved grandchildren, Alissa, Ian, Marah, Lucas, Erin, and Liam; her great-granddaughter, Alana; her brother, Jerry (Dorothy) Kamensky; and longtime friend, who gave her many years of companionship, Tom Woolf Sr.

She was met at Heaven's gates by her parents, Martha and Martin Kamensky; her daughter, Erin Spoon; her grandson, Layne Spoon; and her brother, Norman Kamensky.

Sunshine will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion to her family, and the deep love she gave so freely. She will be dearly missed and forever held in the hearts of those who loved her.

Services honoring the life of Sunshine will take place Friday, February 6, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Calla Evangelical Community Church. All who loved her are welcome to attend.
