Arleni Morillo

Canandaigua – Arleni (Gomez) Morillo, age 41, passed away after a one-year battle with cancer, on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, with her husband by her side. Arleni made known the great peace she now enjoys after surrendering her life to Jesus Christ. She is survived by her husband, Heriberto Morillo; son, Franklin; three daughters, Alexandra, Alyssia and Abigail; a granddaughter, Alianna.
Arleni was raised in Rochester and graduated from John Marshall High School, class of 2000. She attended RBI and MCC and obtained associate degrees. Arleni had resided in Canandaigua for five years. She worked at Wegmans throughout her youth. Arleni later became an assistant teacher at Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter School. She was last employed by Finger Lakes Community Health, where she worked as a Health Center Site Coordinator (HCSC) for both Port Byron and Ovid sites. Arleni was a devoted wife and mother who loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and her tell it like it is attitude. Arleni was a loyal friend and would do anything to help the ones she loved. Her sisters, as well as a couple girlfriends who became her sisters, and nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and close friends will greatly miss her one-of-a-kind personality.
Friends may call Friday, July 7, from 11am-1pm at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., 47 N. Main St., Canandaigua. Her memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at the funeral home.
