Ms. Armetta Rich

Statesboro, Georgia

Ms. Armetta Rich passed into rest Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Heritage Inn Health and Rehabilitation Center. The Bulloch County native was the daughter of the late, Deacon Walter and Louise (Hendley) Rich.

She received her formal education in the Bulloch County School System and was a graduate of the William James High School class of 1959 and a member of the Harmony Baptist Church where she served as secretary for the Mission Department. She was a retired employee of Pecan Manor Nursing Home where she was a dietician.

In December 1965 Armetta relocated to Brooklyn New York and returned to Statesboro in July, 1988.

In addition to her parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Deacon Herbert Rich, Etta Mae Rich-Parrish, Mary Lou Rich-Underwood, James Walter Rich, Sadie Mae Rich, and Robert Rich.

She is survived by her sisters, Leomie Rich, and Ruth Rich, both of Statesboro, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Emmie Lee Rich, Statesboro, Georgia and Selma Rich, of Florida a special niece, Janet Underwood-Sutherland, Ohio; ; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

A viewing for Ms. Armetta Rich will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Hill's Mortuary, Inc.

Ms. Rich will lie in state on the day of service at the church for viewing, one hour prior to the services. There will be no viewing after the eulogy.

The funeral service for Ms. Armetta Rich, will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, January 3, 2026 at the Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Troy Grubbs, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
