Arnold (Arnie) James was born in Honduras, CA to the late Estelle and Emmanuel James on March 28, 1932. He passed away on December 19, 2024, peacefully at home in Port St. Lucie, Florida. He is predeceased by two brothers Victor and Alfred James and one sister Elma (James) Watler.
Prior to his first marriage, he welcomed his oldest child named Lorna. A few years later he met his first wife in Honduras the late Fiona James and this union produced three children. In 2010 Arnie met his current wife Suzett who took great care of and spoiled Arnie until he was called home. During one of the most difficult times in all our lives (Covid), Suzett, and her mom Ms. Pauline, were there taking care of Dad, giving his children "priceless peace of mind" knowing he was not alone.
Dad worked as a Machinist in Honduras and brought his family to the United States and lived in New York City. He later moved to Rochester, New York where he worked at General Motors. In Rochester Arnie became a realtor and owned several rental properties in Honduras and Rochester. In 1994 he retired to Lawrenceville, Georgia then relocated to Port St. Lucie, Florida. Once he retired to Florida his favorite past-time was going to the Casino and taking care of his lawn and pool.
Dad was a quiet man, but he had a great sense of humor and a very sharp tongue to make you laugh. He lived a full and active life until his health began to slowly deteriorate and now, he can rest in peace.
Arnold (Arnie) leaves to cherish his loving memories two daughters Lorna (John) Saltibus and Carol James and two sons Brian (Kathy) James and Micheal (Rosa) James; nine grandchildren, Chevonne, Sheena, Carol, Anthony, Anita, Brandon, Felicia, Jeremy and Michael (Mikie), 8 great-grandchildren and niece Carolyn James and other relatives and friends.
The James Family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Ms. Pauline - our dad's caretaker.
