Arrmandina "Mina' Segovia, 52, of Liberty Hill, Texas, passed away on December 8, 2025. Born on August 7, 1973, in
Georgetown, Texas, Mina was the beloved daughter of Jose and Pauline Segovia and the oldest of five siblings. From the beginning, she carried a joyful spirit and natural warmth that made her a light to all who knew her.
Mina graduated in 1992 from Leander High School, and in her early adulthood she worked at H-E-B, where she thrived in every department she served. Her strong work ethic, people first attitude, and ability to make everyone around her feel welcome were evident long before she found her true calling. Eventually, Mina discovered her passion for education and began her career at Liberty Hill Elementary, where she dedicated herself to supporting students and staff with kindness, humor, and a genuine love for building meaningful connections. Her commitment to the school community and the children she adored made a lasting impact. Mina retired from Liberty Hill ISD in 2025, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, service, and heartfelt dedication.
Mina's life was forever changed the night she met the love of her life, Jorge Esquivel, at a dance hall. Swept up in the moment, Jorge ran outside and wrote her phone number in the dust on the back of his red minivan. After accidentally washing it off, he feared he had lost his chance-until Mina called him first, surprising him and sparking a love that only grew stronger from that day on.
In 2003, Mina and Jorge welcomed their miracle child, Jorgeenrique Esquivel, who quickly became the greatest blessing of her life. Her devotion to her son was unwavering, and she would do anything in the world for him. As he grew, Mina was especially grateful to see him surrounded by love, and she was truly happy knowing he had someone special in his girlfriend who cared for him deeply.
Family was the center of Mina's world. She cherished every moment spent surrounded by her friends and loved ones, always finding ways to bring laughter and joy to any gathering. Mina had a gift for creating fun, memorable activities keeping every celebration lively and full of love. Her witty remarks and radiant smile could brighten any room, leaving those around her feeling uplifted and cherished.
Mina is preceded in death by her mother, Paula Segovia. She is survived by her loving husband, Jorge Esquivel; her son, Jorgeenrique "Kike" Esquivel; her father, Jose Segovia; her brother, Jose Segovia Jr. (Lindsey Segovia); her sisters, Rosalinda Segovia and Ernestina Segovia; her brother, Rafael Segovia (Cecilia Gamboa); and countless family members and friends who loved her dearly. Mina will forever be remembered for her vibrant spirit, boundless love, and the joy she brought into every life she touched. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
