Arsenio Flora, 69, of Rutherford (formerly of Jersey City), passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, September 11, 2022. Born in Sant' Arsenio, Italy to Nicola and Angela (nee Romano). A lifelong resident of Jersey City before moving to Rutherford three years ago with his wife. Arsenio enjoyed the craft of carpentry which he took great pride in and had a great love for animals. He had been employed with the FBI for 20 years where he worked in the maintenance department. His greatest passion was for his family. He adored his wife, his three children and later in life, was blessed with six beautiful grandchildren. Arsenio's took great pride in his family and most enjoyed being around his grandchildren. Arsenio will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Maria (nee Romaniello) of 46 years, his loving children Angela, Nicky and Vittorio, along with their loving spouses Angel, Ritza and Giselle, grandchildren; Justin, Valentina, Noah, Lauren, Matthew & Giuliana. His sister-in law Maryanne Romaniello and her children Johnathan, Nicholas, Brianna and Nick Matias. He is also survived by his sister Maria Flora-Cupersito, his nephews and nieces in Italy; Paolo and Mary, Annarita and Bernardo, Nicolino and Eleonara, Pascualina, Compari Angela and Mario, Elio and Tonia. Arsenio leaves behind many loving relatives and friends whose lives he touched.
Arsenio will be joining his parents, in-laws, and brother-in-laws Antonio Cupersito, John Romaniello and Giuseppe Cupersito in heaven.
Family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00pm to 9:00pm in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford. Funeral on Thursday; all to meet 9:45am for 10:00am Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary, 91 Home Ave., Rutherford.
Thereafter Entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington.
