Arthur Scott Bevier, 77, of Michigan Center, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024. Art's family and friends will gather from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel (Formerly Arthur-Day Funeral Home), with his funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. Pastor John Tovey will serve as celebrant. Burial will immediately follow at Roseland Memorial Gardens.
He was born on October 18, 1946, in Jackson, Michigan, to Charles Spencer and Josephine Ruth (Wood) Bevier. Art graduated from Michigan Center High School in 1965. He married the love of his life, Frances Sue Winningham, on July 31, 1965. He was a steel worker for 33 years. Art will be remembered for his generosity, sense of humor, and hospitality. He embodied resilience throughout his life. Art deeply loved and was devoted to his family. He especially enjoyed playing "Zoo" with his grandchildren. Art was known to be a chocoholic but was quick to share with his great-grandchildren. Remembered as "Mr. Good Time", he always wore a smile and brought joy to those around him. Art competed in a mixed bowling league and played Wii bowling with his wife. He enjoyed golfing and cars. Art was a man of faith and attended Michigan Center Bible Church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Art will be missed by his wife of 58 years, Sue; his children, Angela (Chris) Guynn, and Art (Shelley) Bevier; grandchildren Bree (Doug) Woodard, Ryan Taylor (Morgan McDole), Kassie (Nick) Lewan, and Krissie (Zack) Lewan; great-grandchildren Kierian Lewan and Zion Woodard; many nieces and nephews, and several in-laws. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Josephine Bevier; mother and father in-law, Leo and Pauline Winningham; brother, Chuck and Terry Bevier; and sister, Judy Bachman.
