Arthur (Art) Casella age 89 of Rosewood gardens, Phillips Road and Apple tree lane east Greenbush died March 8 2011 after a long illness at Rosewood gardens Nursing Home. With his beloved wife of 68 years at his side. Born in Albany and a graduate of Philip Schuyler high school, art was self employed in the jukebox business until his retirement in1983.
Predeceased by siblings Alfred (Molly), Anthony and Ernest (Joyce) Casella, and Sadie (James) Cozzy
Survivors include his wife Rose (Palella) Casella, and son Joseph (Beverly) Casella of Brooklyn Park, MN. A sister Camille (George) Racicot of Cohoes Sisters in Law Eileen, and Joyce Casella, grandchildren Joseph, David and Robert Casella, Todd and Holly Drakulic and 6 Great grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Saturday morning 9 o'clock from the Rockefeller funeral home 165 Columbia tpk Rensselaer and 9:30 at the church of St Mary church at Clinton Heights Friends and family are invited to his calling hours Friday evening 4-7 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Calvary cemetery Glenmont, NY the family has requested that those who wish make memorial contributions in his name to the Community Hospice 295 Valley View Blvd. Rensselaer, NY 12144.
