Arthur Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Barnes-Friederich & Pope Funeral Home - Midwest City on Dec. 27, 2025.
Arthur "Boo" Davis, 75, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on December 26, 1949 in Swink, Oklahoma.
Boo was a graduate from Fort Towson High School and a Vietnam veteran. He retired after 36 years of service with the United States Postal Service, where he served as a dedicated letter carrier. On November 25, 1970, he married the love of his life, Vicky Stutts, and together they shared 55 years of devotion, laughter, and family. Boo is survived by his wife, Vicky, and their three children: his daughter, Candida Boys, and her husband Brad of Argyle, Texas; his son, Benjamin Davis, and his wife Jessica of Norman, Oklahoma; and his son, Matthew Davis, and his wife Krystal of Choctaw, Oklahoma.
He was a proud grandfather to Makayley Jichi and her husband Adam, Greyson, and Isabella, who brought him endless joy.
Boo was one of seven children. He was preceded in death by his father B.G. Davis, mother Christine Schofield Davis, and sister Ruthann Butler. He is survived by: Sister Pat Collins, sister Linda Miller and husband Clifton, brother Calvin Davis, sister Katy Wilson and husband Toby, sister Vickie Miller and husband Ralph. He also leaves behind numerous much loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
Boo was funny, witty, and a tireless worker who could fix anything and made sure his children learned how to do the same. He loved animals, treasured fishing trips with his kids and grandkids, and found pure joy in watching the grass grow just so he could hop on his zero-turn mower and settle into his "happy place." Even in difficult moments, Boo could find humor, and he shared that gift generously with everyone around him.
Visitation will be held on December 30, 2025 from 12pm to 8pm at Barnes-Friederich & Pope Funeral Home at 305 S. Sooner Road. A Funeral Service will be held on December 31, 2025 at 11am at Barnes-Friederich & Pope Funeral Home - Ford Chapel with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma.
