Arthur Davis Obituary
Born in Poughkeepsie on May 14, 1939, he was the son of the late Charles and Gertrude (Utter) Davis. Art had been employed as a plant manager for the Pawling Rubber Corporation. He was also the owner and operator of Davis Excavation.
Art was a former member of the Beekman Fire Company. He took great pride in caring for his family's homestead in Stormville. He enjoyed working on tractors, backhoes and farm equipment.
Art is survived by his wife, Linda (Booth) Davis; his daughter, Suzanne Garcia and her husband James; his stepdaughter, Angel Gibb; his daughter-in-law, Loretta Davis; his grandchildren, Sara Garrand, James and Sami Garcia, Lance Place, Brandon Gibb, Rianna Gibb and Haleigh Gibb; his great-grandchildren, Ryder Gibb, Benjamin Johnson, Alex Garrand, Rebecca Garrand, Raelynn Johnson and Addison Henning; and his faithful feline companion, Hercules. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his son, Robert Jerome Davis, in 2025.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 2-3pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a service at 2:30 pm. Interment will be in Beekman Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Dutchess County SPCA.
