GEDEON, Arthur Michael Francis - Age 79, of Linden, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the Chapel of Holy Innocents at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton (The Mass will be live streamed and can be viewed below Arthur's obituary). Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Tuesday from 5-7 PM and Wednesday at the church from 9-10 AM. A Rosary and a Knights of Columbus service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 7 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Wounded Warriors Project or Tunnel to Towers.
Arthur was born May 23, 1946, in Cleveland, OH, the son of Arthur W. and Mary "Mae" (Barle) Gedeon. He was a 1964 graduate of Parma High School in Parma, OH. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He married Eileen Marie Webber August 10, 1968 in Tampa, FL. He retired from General Motors Mansfield Plant in Mansfield, OH after 30 plus years of service. Arthur was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #7418; He was a member of the Fenton V.F.W. Post #3243 a former member of the V.F.W. Post #26 in Mansfield, OH.
Surviving are: his wife, Eileen; sons, Stephen (Cindy) Gedeon of Byron and Mark (Valarie) Gedeon of Linden; grandchildren, Terra, Tabitha, Penny, Nash (Kaylene) and Gabriella; great grandchildren, Raina, Grayson, Ella, Jaxson and Vajda; sisters, Eileen Hedrick of Maryland, Marlene Gedeon of Ohio and Michele (Robert) Mattei of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rochelle Gedeon; and grandson, Alexander Gedeon. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
