Arthur H. Graybill, 96 years old, born in Stevens, to the late Irvin and Mazie (Hertzog) Graybill.
Arthur is survived by his wife of 71 years, Mary Belle (Honberger) Graybill and their 4 children, M. Michele (Graybill) Heller, wife of Harry Heller of Stevens, Denise A. Graybill-Donohoe, wife of Steven Donohoe of Poolesville, MD, Stephen H. Graybill, husband of Diane (Summy) Graybill of Stevens, and Stephanie Graybill Fassnacht, wife of the late Phillip A. Fassnacht of Stevens. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, J. Carl Graybill, Irvin Graybill Jr., Harold Graybill, and Donald Graybill.
Art graduated from Reamstown High School in 1946, where he was president of his class. He was an excellent ice skater and in 1948 was invited to skate with the Ice Capades featuring Olympic and US National Champion figure skaters. In 1951, while skating at a show in Hershey, he met and was paired to skate with Mary Belle Honberger and she swept him off his feet.
Art played ice hockey with the Flying Dutchman and Lucy's Cafe teams from Hershey. They played in many leagues such as Valley Forge, Philadelphia, and Baltimore. He played baseball for Reamstown in the Eastern County League and also liked to ski.
He was a farmer most of his life and in 1963 with his brothers, Irvin Jr. and Donald, formed the partnership Triple "G" Farms. In 1967 they built Triple "G" Farms Market. In 1976, the business was relocated across the street, then was later sold to Ephrata Community Hospital. It is now known as WellSpan Cocalico Health Center.
He was an avid hunter. In 1970, he and his brothers built Triple "G" Pines, a hunting camp in Tioga County, PA. Art loved to hunt and fish in the Pine Creek for rainbow trout.
In 1991, Art formed a partnership with his son Steve, brother Irvin Jr. and his son, Doug, called Foxchase Properties and built an 18-hole golf course on 160 acres of the farmland called Foxchase Golf Club.
He was a member of Ephrata Church of the Brethren for 70 years where he served as a president of the Homemakers Sunday school class and a deacon for several years. He was a member of the Stevens Fire Company, Young Farmers Association, Lancaster County Poultry Association, Golf Course Superintendents Association, Misers Investment Club, served on the Ephrata Hospital board for 16 years and East Cocalico Planning Commission board for 42 years.
Art and Mary Belle loved to travel and spent 3 months each year for 19 years going to Sebring, FL where they enjoyed golfing and time with friends. Although, one of his greatest joys was spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 10 to 11 AM, at the Ephrata Church of the Brethren, 201 Crescent Avenue, Ephrata. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM, with Pastor Galen Hackman and Pastor Rob Eshelman officiating. A private interment will take place in the Mohler Church of the Brethren Cemetery on Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice and Community Care, P. O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
