Arthur Clarence Hart, Jr., 79, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mr. Hart was born August 13, 1931 near Harviell, Mo. and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting and telling stories of growing up in the area. Mr. Hart was a Union Carpenter in St. Louis for 25 years before moving to Poplar Bluff in 1979 and starting his own construction business. Surviving is his longtime companion Margaret Hunter of Poplar Bluff; five children, Diann Street and husband Jack of House Springs, Mo., Jack Hart of St. Louis, Billy Hart of Poplar Bluff, Sandra Hart of Fenton, and Mary Jo Ruder and husband Michael of St. Louis; 15 grandchildren, Stacy Hamilton, Terry Krasnesky, Dana Woods, Michael Hart, Jennie Ford, Bryan Hart, Landon Hart, Billy Hart, Krystle Daves, Jason Hart, Mandy Fontaine, Heather Hart, Presley Ruder, Bessie Ruder and Susie Ruder; and 29 great grandchildren. Preceding Mr. Hart in death were his parents, Arthur and Bessie R. (Hay) Hart, Sr. and 5 sisters, Mamie, Alma, Wilma, Mary Adlee, and Carita. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul White officiating. Burial will be in the Kinsey Cemetery in Butler County. Family and friends may share an online condolence or memory at www.cotrellfuneralservice.com.
