Arthur Holbert Obituary
Mr. Arthur Holbert, age 81, of Acworth, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at his residence.
Mr. Holbert was born on October 16, 1942 in Decatur, Alabama, the son of the late Ernest Holbert and the late Estelle Newsome Holbert. Arthur served his country in the United States Army. He worked at several jobs after he served and then retired from General Electric. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla Teague Holbert; his grandson; Nick Valdez; and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Holbert; his son, Jeff Valdez; his grandson, Jeffrey Valdez (Brittany) and Starr Valdez; his great grandchildren, Aaliyah Marie Valdez and Evelyn Aleane-Faye Valdez; his sisters, Fanny Kirby and Pearl Carpenter; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, in the Chapel of Poole Funeral Home with Erion Vogli officiating. Arthur will be placed next to his wife in Moulton Memorial Gardens in Moulton, Alabama, at a later date.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Poole Funeral Home from 12:00pm until the service time.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 1:00pm, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Erion Vogli officiating.
