Arthur Paul Lebel, age 90, passed away on January 30, 2026 at his home in
Lynn Haven, Florida, He was born June 3, 1935 in
Worcester, Massachusetts. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and proud parishioner of Saint Dominic's Catholic Church.
Art lived a life defined by service, faith, and integrity. Art honorably served his country for over 42 years, beginning with his enlistment in the United States Air Force in 1953. He rose to the rank of Senior Master Sergeant, serving around the world in key aircraft maintenance, weapons systems, and production analysis roles. His exceptional skill and leadership earned him the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal and numerous commendations.
Following his military retirement, Art continued his legacy through a distinguished civil service career. Rising to GS-14, he became the only individual in Air Force history to serve as Deputy for Suggestions, Ideas, Innovations & Productivity across four major commands. His programs and contributions earned him the Outstanding Civilian Career Service Award, presented by a four-star general and recognized by President Clinton.
Art was an avid golfer and boater. Art was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, a Lifetime Member of the NCOA, and a member of the Veterans Association. He was deeply proud of his service to both God and country.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Doris (Swanson) Lebel, Janis (Nelson) Lebel Friend, his first wife and his parents, Arthur J. and Anna (Kozlowski) Lebel, and daughter, Lora Marie Lebel. He is survived by his daughters Lynda Lebel,
Lilburn, GA, Debra Lebel,
Woodstock, GA, and Wanda (Lebel) Jordan, grandson Casey Jordan,
Lynn Haven, FL, sister Louise (David) Green and extended family.

The family also extends its deepest gratitude to Casey, whose kindness, steady support, and quiet strength were a true blessing during the time he lived with his grandfather. Their dedication and presence brought immeasurable comfort, and the family is profoundly grateful for all they have done.
Art's legacy of devotion, innovation, and unwavering service will be remembered.

Graveside services with full Air Force honors will be held 11:00 am Friday, February 13, 2026 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home
