Arthur Wayne Mann 82, of Wickett, TX ran into the arms of his Heavenly Father on December 11, 2024. Art was born in Palo Pinto County, TX to Dewey and Millie Mann on January 5, 1942. He graduated from Gordon High School in 1960.
In September of 1975, Art made his way to West Texas where he began his career at Colorado River Municipal Water District (CRMWD). This was not just a job to him; it was his passion, and he took great pride in his work. He spent 30 years working for CRMWD, receiving many promotions and awards before retiring in 2006. Art loved ANYTHING Dallas Cowboys, cooking for the family on his collection of Dutch ovens and his guns. You could always find him enjoying a good John Wayne movie.
Art met the love of his life, his “sweetie”, Diana in 1990 and they married shortly after on September 5, 1990. They were blessed to have spent 29 years together creating many wonderful memories until God called her home in 2019. His greatest joy in life was to spend time with his kids, grandkids, and his beloved dog Lucy.
Art is survived by his 5 children, Jennifer Mann of Monahans, TX, Barbara Mann (David DoBois) of Monahans TX, Dena Taylor of Wickett, TX, Michael Taylor (Amanda) of Monahans, TX, Crissie Taylor of Monahans, TX and his daughter-in-law Tanya Taylor of Watauga, TX; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and his beloved dog Lucy.
