Eugene Wallace Irvin Jr., 76, of Monahans, Texas, passed away on January 19, 2026, in Midland, Texas.
Eugene was born on January 15, 1950, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Eugene Wallace Irvin Sr. and Oleta Casbeer. He attended and graduated school in Monahans, Texas.
Eugene worked for many years in the oilfield industry. He dedicated 26 years to Halliburton, followed by employment with BJ Services, and later worked as a salesman for Doc’s Reverse Units. His strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family were evident throughout his career.
He was a lifelong resident of Monahans and took pride in his community and the people in it. Eugene was known for his straightforward nature and dependable character.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Wallace Irvin Sr. and Oleta “PeeWee” Snodgrass; and his stepfather, Dusty Snodgrass.
He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Legendre, and husband, John; his granddaughter Chelsea Legendre and her 2 daughters (Scarlett 4 and Lily 8 months); grandson, Tyson and his wife, Sierra and their son, Walker (2); his brother, Tom White and his wife, Peggy; his nephew and niece and many other friends and family who will cherish his memory.
