Robert H. Irvin, 73, of Carmel, Indiana passed away suddenly on Friday January 30, 2026. He was born on February 15, 1952 in Middlesboro, Kentucky, to parents, Thomas H. Irvin and Jerleen Irvin (Bledsoe).
As a life-long resident of Carmel, Bob was engaged with the community in several facets. In his younger years, he played football at Carmel High School and Ball State University and built a family with his wife of 49 years, Pam Irvin. He enjoyed being a coach and had the opportunity to coach both his children in Carmel Dad’s Club.
He graduated Ball State University in 1974 with a major in History and then went on to graduate from Indiana University/Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1977. He practiced law for 20 years, culminating in his role at Mayflower as General Counsel until 1995. After leaving Mayflower, he pursued his life-long dream of entrepreneurship and founded a successful mobile marketing firm called EventPro. He retired in 2014. During retirement, he fostered his strong Christian faith and continued to invest in the community through prison ministry and by establishing Jehoshua House. He also enjoyed being a hospice chaplain to Indianapolis-area nursing homes.
He is survived in death by his wife of 49 years, Pam, his daughter Jessica, and his son Michael.
He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas H. Irvin and Jerleen Irvin as well as infant brother Thomas H. Irvin.
Funeral services for Robert will occur on Friday February 6, 2026 at Flanner & Buchanan - Hamilton Memorial Park (Prairie Waters), 4180 Westfield Road, Westfield, IN 46062. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Services will start at 6 p.m, followed by a reception at Bob & Pam’s home.
