Arthur Matous

Arthur G. Matous, 90, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 22, 2025. Born January 6, 1935, at home on a farm near Bruno, Neb., to Ben and Olga Matous. On June 22, 1957, Arthur was united in marriage to Alice Matous in Morse Bluff, Neb. Together they shared more than 68 years of marriage. Art's greatest joy was serving his family and others. He was a humble and giving man. Served in the United States Army. Worked many years in the field of banking and insurance and also a property manager for CIP. He was very involved in his faith serving with the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Knights of Columbus and an acolyte in the church. Survived by his wife, Alice Matous of Lincoln; daughters, Patricia Styron of Lincoln, Cheryl (Kerry) Smith of Moore Okla., and Amy Matous of Lincoln. Preceded in death by his parents and sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, August 28, 2025, 10:30 a.m. at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, 735 S. 36th St. Lincoln, Neb. Visitation, 9 to 10 a.m. with a 10 a.m. Rosary, all at the church. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
