Arthur Richard Roy, 79, of Dallas Texas passed away surrounded by his loved ones September 3, 2022 after a difficult battle with long Covid. Art was born December 6, 1942 to Joseph and Edna Roy in Brooklyn, New York. Art moved to Dallas with his parents and older sister Jacqueline as a child. He attended Woodrow Wilson High school and after graduation he entered the United States Navy serving on the USS Hanson. After his service was up, he left the Navy with an honorable discharge and went into telecommunications, first with Southwestern Bell and finishing his career with AT&T. He retired after 30 years of dedicated service. During his time in the Navy, he married the love of his life, Madeline and had three daughters, Michelle, Joelle and Noelle. Some of his favorite pass-times were studying military history, British history, collecting Snoopy memorabilia and watching hockey. He also had a life long affinity for animals, especially dogs. Art was a devoted family man and loving husband and father. His biggest joy was his family and helping others whenever he was able. Art was predeceased by his parents, his sister and his wife Madeline.
He is survived by his daughter Michelle, her husband Alex and his beloved grandchildren Luke and Isabel, and his twin daughters Joelle and Noelle, numerous extended family members and close, life-long friends, and lastly his precious puppies Brandy and Bailey.
