Charles Ray Roy

Charles Ray Roy, 72, a native of Eunice, Louisiana and a resident of New Iberia for the past eight years, passed away on February 8, 2026, in New Iberia.

Charles was born on July 20, 1953, in Eunice, Louisiana, to the late Armond and Virgie Labbe Roy, Sr. He worked in the transportation industry for over 40 years as a mechanic and truck driver. He was known for his strong work ethic and his ability to fix just about anything.

Charlie enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling, cooking, and spending time with his grandchildren. He especially loved working with his tools and repairing things.

He is survived by his loving companion, Becky Meche; his son, Clint (Tracey) Roy; and his stepdaughter, Shannon Meche and her partner, Renee Breaux. He is also survived by his former stepchildren, Steven (Tiffany) Olivier, Jeremy (Amanda) Olivier, Sean Meeks, Clifford Boyer, Jr., and Emily (Wylie) Reaux.

Charlie leaves behind his grandchildren, Dylan Dautreuil, Joseph Dautreuil and his partner Asia Credeur, and Hayle Dautreuil and her partner DaMarcus Broussard; his step-grandchildren, Jordan Boudreaux and her partner Darrell Brown, and Keagan Breaux; and his step great-grandchildren, Nyla Boudreaux, Nova Brown, and Meadow Romero. He is also survived by his sister, Velma Breaux; and his brothers, Armond Roy, Jr. and Ricky Roy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Armond and Virgie Labbe Roy, Sr.; and his brother, Rodney Roy.

A public memorial will be held on February 19, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Louisiana Funeral Services & Crematory, 108 Hardware Rd. Broussard, LA 70518.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
