Arthur Runquist

Arthur Runquist, 79, of Country Meadows, Allentown, died on March 7, 2025. His last hours were with his loved ones, and his last moments were with his wife, Sidni (Crum) Runquist, next to him.

He was born in 1945 in Staten Island, New York, to the late Eric and Ann (Mullick) Runquist.

As an early adult, Arthur was enthralled with racing in the SCCA and spent many nights and weekends working on race cars with his best friend. He worked at Bethlehem Steel in his early 20s between 1970-1972, working 16-hour days to earn enough money to get his pilot's license, eventually earning his commercial pilot's license. He worked for Wings Airways in Blue Bell.

During his piloting career, he earned a real estate license. Arthur was known for being an entrepreneurial real estate developer.

He and his wife, Sidni, loved sailing, which they shared with their children.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Runquist, and a grandson, Daniel Coombe.

Surviving in addition to his wife Sidni are two sons, Matthew, and his wife, Beth, of Pittsburgh, and Jonathan, and his wife, Jennifer, of Shavertown; two daughters, Valerie, wife of Gerald Coombe, and Melissa, wife of Steven Sepos, both of New Ringgold; a sister, Doris Heigl of York; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew.

Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. on Friday, March 14, Hartman Funeral Home, 1791 W. Penn Pike, New Ringgold. Interment, Grandview Cemetery, Allentown. Call 10-11 a.m. Friday.
