Arthur Short

Arthur Short, 74, husband of Charlotte Skaggs Short, passed away May 21, 2024, at the VA Medical Center on Leestown Rd. Born June 4, 1949, in Hazard, KY, Arthur was the son of the late James and Pearlie Ritchie Short. Arthur was a U.S. Army veteran who worked for many years at Host Communications. He loved to hunt and fish and was a member of several sportsman's clubs throughout the years. Along with his wife, he is survived by two children, Karen (James) Borders of Georgetown, KY, Scott (Shannon) Short of Paris, KY; seven grandchildren, Allie (Jordan) Saker, Austin Short, Brandon Wilburn, Ryan (Haley) Short, Chloe Swartz, Gracie Short, Damien Short; six step-grandchildren, Mikah Micallef, Kenzie (Joe) Daniel, Alyson Swartz, Jason (Elizabeth) Borders, Kabby Borders, Michael Matthews; six great grandchildren, KJ, Isaiah, Luke, Jonah, Luke, Shea; and two brothers, Hershel Short and Robert (Sue) Short. He was preceded in death by a brother, Blaine Short. Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Harrodsburg Rd. Visitation will be prior to the time of services from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
