Arthur Hall "Butch" Stanfill passed away, peacefully with his family by his side, on May 1, 2025 at the age of 75 in Jackson, Tennessee.
He was born on January 28, 1950 in Memphis, Tennessee to Charles Stanfill and Dorothy Stanfill. He graduated from JCM in 1968. Butch then attended the University of Tennessee where he met his wife of fifty years, Rosemarie Stanfill. They married on October 10, 1973 and later welcomed their only child, a daughter, Amber Marie on January 19, 1982. She was the apple of their.
Butch was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a great friend, loyal employee and hard worker. He proudly served in the United States Navy and returned home to work construction for many year. He later started working for the state at Southwest Human Res. where he retired from in 2022. Butch loved to watch Nascar Racing and Vol baseball and football. He never messed a chance to take his grandsons to Bristol for a race.
In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemarie Stanfill.
He is survived by his daughter, Amber Marie Mullins (Drew); grandsons, Jaden Mitchell, Jordan Stanfill and Jacob "JT" Mullins; great grandchildren, Houstyn Grace Stanfill and Bridel Austin Stanfill; sister-in-laws, Sandy Sherman (Phil) and Lisa Mills (Jerry); and brother-in-laws, Walter Sherrod, Jr. and Steve Hurt.
A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Friday, May 9, 2025 in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until the service hour in the chapel on Friday.
