Artie May Honeywell, a cherished member of the Indianapolis community, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on February 4, 1941, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Artie's warm spirit and lively personality left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Artie proudly served as a Senior Accounting Clerk at Indiana Bell Telephone Company for an impressive 38 years, where her sharp mind and work ethic were deeply admired. Beyond her professional life, she was a graduate of George Washington High School, class of 1959, which was an important chapter in her early life.

Known for her feisty and loving nature, Artie was a supportive figure to many. Her straightforwardness and humor, combined with a genuine desire to help others, made her a beloved friend and confidant. She had an extraordinary gift for listening, always ready to lend an ear to those in need.

Artie found immense joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she often danced and sang with during their younger years. Her hobbies included reading, embroidery, shopping, and feeding animals outside. She had a passion for movies and loved meeting new people, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories.

She is survived by her loving husband, Malcom Honeywell; her children, Lori Dee Steele, Scott Jackson, and David Honeywell; her siblings, Ronald Day and Jerry Armstrong; grandchildren Amy Cook, Daniel Steele, and Scott Jackson; and great-grandchildren Finley Cook, Brittany Steele, Tanner Cook, and Jagger Cook. Additionally, Ryan Cook, her son-in-law, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, remain to honor her memory.

Artie was predeceased by her parents, Jerome and Virginia Armstrong; her sister, Marian Brown; and her grandson, Nigel Jackson.

She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, unwavering dedication to her loved ones, and the countless joyful moments she created throughout her life. Artie May Honeywell’s legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
