Ashley Reneé Redd, born in Oakland, California, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023, at the age of 35 in Newport News, Virginia after a long and courageous battle against Cervical Cancer. She was a free-spirited individual, a fighter, and demonstrated immense resilience throughout her life. Ashley was a loving mother to her two beautiful children, Riley and Dylan Redd.
Ashley is survived by her mother, Heather Holland (Gordon), and her father, Michael Sooth (Rhonda). She is also survived by her siblings, Courtney Sooth (Brian) and Mikyla Sooth; her nephew, Miles May; as well as her step-siblings, Mandi Wolf, Ronnie Wolf, Noah Wolf, and Angel Wolf. Ashley had a lifelong, close-knit extended family, including many aunts, uncles, and close cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Mary Lou Sooth, and Calvin and Teresa Post.
In her career, Ashley loved her job as a fun and spunky waitress at Red Robin, always bringing her vibrant personality to work. Outside of her work life, Ashley enjoyed spending time with her children by going on day dates to the mall, cuddling and watching superhero movies. She cherished moments at friend and family get togethers, she loved to collect gemstones, and spend time with her best friend, Lenae Wiegardt at Yorktown Beach where they embarked on various adventures.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Weymouth Funeral Home in Newport News, Virginia. The compassionate staff at Weymouth Funeral Home will assist with the arrangements.
Ashley Reneé Redd will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
