Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2025Location: Peninsula Memorial Park
Aaron Joel Ostroff, 85, husband of Gloria Spivak Ostroff, peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025. Aaron was born in Fall River, MA. He loved all sports and had a deep love for Boston teams, especially the Red Sox and Celtics. Washington football was high on the list, too.
Aaron graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He earned his Master's Degree from George Washington University. Aaron worked for 40 years at NASA Langley Research Center as an Aerospace Engineer. He enjoyed NASA, his job, space and in retirement, traveling with his wife, Gloria.
Aaron was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Ostroff; his sister and brother-in-law, Sybil and George Charette; his niece, Phyllis Charette; his in-laws, Jack and Esther Spivak and brother-in-law, Leonard Spivak. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gloria Spivak Ostroff; his son, Stuart Ostroff; his daughter, Sacha Brohimer (Eric); his grandchildren, Amber Brohimer, Tyler Brohimer and Ethan Brohimer; his niece, Anne Cabanna (David); his in-laws/ extended family, Bernie Spivak (Elaine), Sandy Friend, Alex Friend, Kira Spivak, Amy Spivak Briej and Grace Royal and their children.
The Ostroff and Brohimer family wants to thank everyone for their condolences, love and support.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Peninsula Memorial Park. Please enter from Warwick Blvd and go to the left. A small reception/ celebration of his life will occur afterwards at Temple Sinai on Warwick Blvd, Newport News. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Temple Sinai. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
