Ashton Boles, 38, of Ankeny formerly of Webster City died Monday, April 21, 2025 at Iowa Methodist Medical in Des Moines. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2025 at the funeral home.
Ashton Elaine Jacobson, daughter of Darwin and Eva (Olson) Jacobson, was born September 12, 1986 in Webster City. She graduated from Webster City High School in 2005 and Iowa State University with a degree in graphic design. On August, 15, 2015, Ashton was united in marriage to Justin Boles in Des Moines. To this union, Myla Mae was born. Ashton started her design career at Two Rivers Marketing, followed by Iowa Soybean Association for many years and did free-lance for the Iowa Farm Progress and loved doing design projects for her family and friends. Most recently, she was employed with LS2 Group in Des Moines.
She is survived by her daughter, Myla Mae Boles, of Johnston and her father, Justin Boles; her cat, Ivy Bell; mother, Eva (Tom) Powers of Webster City; father, Darwin (Phyllis) Jacobson of Woolstock; sisters, Kristine (Ross) Berglund of Webster City, Rachel (Cameron) Griffith of Ankeny and their children Emilia and Avery, Carly (Brett Baker) Jacobson of Scottsdale, AZ; grandmother, Joan Olson of Webster City; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dianne (Ed) Thompson of Glenwood; step-grandparents, Sharon (Ed) Ludwig of Rockwell City and several aunts, uncles and extended family members.
Ashton was preceded in death by her cat, China; grandfathers, Glenn Olson and LeRoy Jacobson; grandmothers, Lois Jacobson and Patricia Powers. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Clear Lake and Iowa State Cyclones games. Ashton cherished all the moments of being a mom, especially watching Myla dance and sing.
