Beatrice “Bea” Napier, 73, of Webster City died suddenly on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Van Diest Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellsworth with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Lawn Hill Cemetery, south of Stanhope. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.
Beatrice Mae Busch, daughter of Irvin and Lillian (Twedt) Busch, was born May 8, 1952. She attended school in Ellsworth. On September 12, 1969, Bea was united in marriage to Murray Anderson. To this union three children were born, Marty, Letitia, and Melissa. The couple later divorced. Bea married Robert Napier on December 8, 1989 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Stanhope. She worked as a cook for various food establishments – Touchdown, Webster City Country Club (20 yrs.) and the Webster City Congregate Meals prior to her retirement. Bea had also worked many years for Webster City Custom Meats.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Robert of Webster City; daughters, Letitia (Keith Jackson) Anderson of Fort Dodge, Melissa (James Vestweber) Anderson of Webster City; granddaughter, Olivia Richardson; sisters, Christine (Steve) Bollig of Stanhope, Ruth Anderson of Kelley and Jane Story of State Center along with many extended family members.
Bea was preceded in death by her son, Marty Wray Anderson; her parents; brother, Charles Busch and Sister, Donna Cleary.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellsworth. Bea enjoyed thrift shopping, collecting chickens and angels, crafting, cooking and trying out new recipes. She loved having coffee with friends and family and sipping on a margarita from Lomitas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
