Foster Funeral and Cremation Center - Webster CityTodd Koop, aka “Kooper” and “Chicken”, 56, of Webster City, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on October 5, 2025, from injuries sustained in an accident. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 5:00 p.m. at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.
Todd Alan Koop, son of Terry and Vicki (Dalhauser) Koop, was born October 18, 1968, in Webster City. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1987.
Todd had the honor of spending 30 wonderful years working at the Seneca Street Saloon for his mentor, boss and father figure Larry Ross, where he served countless patrons and formed lifelong friendships. To many, Todd was affectionately known as the “Face of the Saloon”. He had a remarkable gift for making people feel at home — greeting each person with genuine warmth and compassion. Todd loved people. He could strike up a conversation with anyone, from any walk of life, and make you feel like an old friend.
Outside of work, Todd embraced life with passion and enthusiasm. He loved riding with Team Cobra in RAGBRAI, attending wrestling events and making memories at the Dayton Rodeo. A loyal sports fan, he proudly cheered for the Green Bay Packers, Iowa Hawkeyes, and Notre Dame. Todd also enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially golfing at The Links. He loved soaking up the sun, whether it was boating with friends or just relaxing in the backyard with his Banana Boat and baby oil, working on that perfect tan.
But the thing that meant the most to Todd, his greatest joy and proudest accomplishment, was being a father to his beloved daughter, Kenley. Together, they shared countless special moments — golfing, going on walks, dinner dates, and simply cruising around cherishing each other’s company. The bond they shared was deep and full of love. He was her biggest fan and loved watching her play sports. Kenley was truly the light of his life, and everyone who knew Todd could see how much he adored her.
Todd is survived by his daughter, Kenley Koop of Webster City; mother, Vicki Koop of Webster City; sister, Kimberly Koop, of Webster City; aunts, Karen Hill of Des Moines, Jane (Mike) Jacobson of Iowa Falls, “Aunt” Mary Koop Clausen of Webster City; the mother of his daughter, Katie Golberg of Webster City; lifelong friends, Ross Freeman and Derek Bailey; along with many people whom he met at the Seneca Street Saloon and the American Tap.
Todd is preceded in death by his father, Terry; grandparents, Paul Koop and Norma Koop Lake, Leo and Bernice Dahlhauser; uncles, Mike Koop, Russ Hill, Carol (Pat) Dahlhauser; and cousin, Kris Dahlhauser.
* Optional attire: In honor of Todd’s favorite teams please feel free to wear your favorite Packers, Hawkeye or Notre Dame gear.
