Ashton Simpson Obituary
Ashton Jerome Simpson was born on March 3, 2000 to both Ashley N. McDonald and Chauncey A. Simpson in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended local schools in Duval County and graduated from Sandalwood High School. Soon after high school Ashton enlisted in the Navy, where he trained to become an electrician. His dedication and hard work led him to earn a journeyman's license, enabling him to pursue a career as a skilled electrician. Most recently Ashton traveled and worked all over the country to explore new opportunities and develop his skills.
Ashton was passionate about seeking a relationship with God and studying his Bible. Though generally quiet, Ashton spoke with conviction and precision. He enjoyed food, music, art, basketball, and working out. Ashton's smile could light up any room. Spending time with his family and meditating were both important to him. His intelligence was next-level. His honesty and character earned admiration and trust. A deep thinker wise beyond his years, Ashton's big heart and radiant spirit were cherished by all who knew him. His family will truly miss his signature scream, infectious laugh, and million-dollar smile.
Ashton Jerome Simpson went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 15, 2024. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ernestine White.
Ashton leaves the following loved ones to cherish his fond memories, his mother, Ashley N. McDonald; his father, Chauncey A. Simpson; grandmother, Janet A. McDonald; grandfathers, Astley McDonald, and Albert Simpson, Jr.; god-parents, Hyacinth and Micheal Davis; siblings, Ava Burgess, Alton Simpson, Adarius Simpson, Adrean Simpson, Camryn Simpson, Deshaun Simpson, Isaiah Simpson, Jekayla Simpson, and Shaunti Simpson; loving aunts and uncles, Reginald and Sandra Wilson, Sherece Pinnock, Jason and Amillah Williamson, and Albert Simpson, III; and a host of cousins, Jerome Viamille, the Pinnock - Daise sisters (Shayna, Tearah, Talia, and Sanaa), the Wilsons (Reginald and Riley), the Williamson twins (Faith and Trinity), and Albrianna Simpson.
