Audrey was born on September 15, 1939 in Nocona to Cled and Audrey Stewart. She grew up and attended schools in Pampa. After high school, she met and married her one and only JD Barnard on November 30, 1957 in Sayre, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2010.
Audrey worked many years in the medical industry as a Medical Transcriptionist at both the Worley Hospital and the Highland General Hospital in Pampa. She was a long-time and faithful Church of Christ follower and she attended and was a member of the Wells Street, McCullough Street, and Somerville Street Church of Christ.
We will miss our beautiful and sweet Mother and Nana. We know she is with our savior now and at peace. We also know she is with our Dad and Papa to whom she was married for 53 years and “THE” love of her life. She was an only child and missed her parents so much and is now with them again. The family agrees that Dad must have completed building on to the mansion and getting things just the way Momma wanted, as he did several times here on earth. There is another angel in heaven.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son-in-law, David Devers.
Audrey is survived by, two sons, Rick Barnard and wife Tammy of Amarillo, and Gary Barnard and wife Cynthia of Big Spring; a daughter, Amy Danner and husband Monty of Jasper; 10 grandchildren, Amanda Heitman and husband Jason of El Reno, OK, Brittany Barnard, Chelsea Barnard and Joseph Montour, Dylan Barnard, all of Amarillo, Misty Hogue and husband Josh of Mansfield, Michelle Kerschen and husband Russell of Arlington, Marissa Loftin and husband Stephen of Arlington, Michael Feagin of Jasper, Alisha Devers Surface and husband Carl of Salisbury, NC, and Nicole Devers Lacy and husband Steven of Colorado Springs, CO; 17 great-grandchildren; and other extended family members.
