Audrey M. Brackman, 94, of Blandon, PA, formerly of Granville Summit, passed away November 18, 2025. Audrey was born in
Canton, PA, a daughter of the late Clarence and Erma Metzger. She was a 1948 graduate of Canton Area High School. Audrey married Charles Brackman March 25, 1950. They shared 75 years of marriage and raised six children.
She was a member of the East Canton United Methodist Church, Windfall Grange No. 257, Bradford-Sullivan County Pomona Grange No. 23, State and National Grange, Eastern Star, and DAR. She was a Sunday school teacher and accompanied youth on many retreats. She supported Charles in his many activities and enjoyed snowmobiling and hunting with her family. She was able to accompany him on work assignments, and they visited all 50 states.
She was the family historian, faithfully recording in her diary each day. She remembered each special occasion by mailing cards and letters to family. She was a dedicated wife and mother, never complaining through all their moves and transitions. We enjoyed her homemade applesauce and many other recipes. She decorated birthday cakes, personalized for each of us. She attended sporting events, music, graduations and weddings – always there cheering us on. We could always find her wearing pink. Her favorite pastime – beating Charlie in the board game, aggravation.
