Daniel Brackman, age 71, of Coldwater, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Briarwood Village in Coldwater. He was born on July 25, 1954 in Coldwater to the late Herbert & Dolores (Brunswick) Brackman. On August 21, 1976 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, he married Denise (Bruns) Brackman and she survives in Coldwater.
He is also survived by his two children, Brian & Jackie Brackman of St. Joe and Janelle & Tom Roessner of Coldwater, grandchildren, Breah and Xander Roessner, and siblings and in-laws, Herbert Brackman of Coldwater, Sharon Fesmier of Mansfield, Kathy & Vern Moeller of Coldwater, Don & Judy Brackman of Lima, Jim & Brenda Brackman of Findlay, Ken & Cathy Brackman of Coldwater, Tom & Deb Brackman of New Bremen, Chris & Eileen Brackman of St. Henry, Linda Brackman of Coldwater, Donna Gilmore of Coldwater, Dave & Jill Bruns of Coldwater, Dale Bruns of Coldwater, Dodie & Jerry Bruggeman of St. Henry, Don & Beth Bruns of Coldwater, and Dan & Kim Bruns of Coldwater.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Owen, brother, Marvin Brackman, and in-laws, Jean Brackman, Ray Fesmier, Jack Gilmore, and Deb Bruns.
Dan was a member of Holy Trinity Church, the Knights of Columbus, Coldwater Eagles, Coldwater VFW and the Sons of the American Legion. He retired from the Home Service Station, Coldwater in 2022. He was an avid Browns fan and enjoyed being outdoors doing yard work and plowing snow.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2PM to 7PM on Friday, December 12 and from 9AM to 9:30AM on Saturday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Northwest Ohio. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com
