Audrey Elda Clausing

Audrey Elda Clausing, 87, of Oshkosh, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 28, 2025 following a brief illness. She was born October 20, 1938, in Green Bay, WI, to Ferdinand William and Clara Caroline (Mueller) Howard. She married Clarence Clausing on September 10, 1960.

A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and cherished friend, Audrey found her greatest joy in time spent with others. She loved sharing meals, engaging in a spirited game of any kind, watching sports with friends, and attending every family gathering she could. Audrey graduated from Sevastopol High School and later earned her chef's degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College. Her love of baking and cooking carried her from a life of farming to a career as a chef in restaurants throughout Wisconsin. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, bible study, doing puzzles, spending precious time with her grandkids and great grandkids, and traveling the world. Audrey will be fondly remembered for her adventurous spirit and her deep appreciation for the beauty of a simple life.

Audrey is survived by her son Curtis (Therese); her daughter Doris (Morgan); her grandchildren, Cullen, Cameron (Taryn), Nicholas (Nonarae), Benjamin, Kamariah (Timothy), Keoni (Annie), Tynesha, Tamela (Kenyna), and Morgan; her great-grandchildren, Veronica, Grace, Calvin, Cynthia, Brynnlee, and Beckett. She is also survived by her sisters Joyce (late Gerald), Darlene, and Sylvia (John); her brothers Harley (Betty), Herbert (Debra), and Wayne (Kathy); her sister-in-law Violet (late Orvel); and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence; her brothers, Ralph, Gordon, Orvel, Richard, Donald, Joseph, and Patrick; her sisters, Anna Mae, Janet, Deloris, Irma, and Malinda; Clarence's sisters and brothers-in-law; and other family members.

Audrey's celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026. Visitation will be held 9:30 to 11 am with a Christian funeral service to follow at Resurrection Presbyterian Church 1205 Congress Avenue, Oshkosh, WI 54901. A private interment will take place at Old Settlers Rest at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made in Audrey's name to Resurrection Presbyterian Church where she was a member, the Oshkosh Senior Center where she loved to meet friends and play games, or the National Psoriasis Foundation, to support a condition she struggled with over her lifetime.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate medical staff at Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Hospital, Milwaukee Campus, and to Fiss & Bills Poklasny Funeral Home in Oshkosh for their care and support.
