Audrey McGowan Crum

Audrey McGowan Crum, loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2006. She was born in Phoenix, AZ, August 26, 1927 to Beatrice Ozell McGowan and Charles Robert McGowan. Audrey attended North Phoenix High School, Phoenix College, the University of Arizona, and graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. Audrey and loving husband, Hilliard, met at the U of A, married and had two wonderful sons, Michael and Robert. Audrey went on to teach ten years at Washington Elementary School. She was an active volunteer for the Assistance League, All Saints Altar Guild and the Visiting Nurses Association. Audrey had a passion for painting and was an avid golfer. She loved to travel the world, visiting places such as Japan, China, Europe and Israel. Audrey was a tremendous conversationalist with an incredible sense of humor. She is survived by her loyal husband, Hilliard (Moose) Crum, Jr.; sister, Betty Ann Nowell; sons, Michael and Robert; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Her caring presence will always fill our hearts along with many joyful memories. Audrey will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, 6300 N.
