Gus had so many school friends. He attended a few alumni meetings and functions with Joe Reddick and Jimmy Collins. It was fun to see them all again and again.

I first met Gus when we were working in the UPS Hub on Molloy Road in the 70's. He was loved by of all the Teamster workers. He was a great ping pong player that I enjoyed watching him during our breaks.
When we moved to Northern Blvd. he was promoted to Supervisor by Jack Pridell. Jack loved Gus and so did all of the management group. Jack always called him Gussy!
Gus and I worked for a few years in the Hub as supervisors and we built a great friendship.
I kind of lost track of him once I went into Business Development but one thing I remember the most was how he organized bus trips to Buffalo Bills games in the 80's.
He set up a bus trip to the Bills games that included food, beer and a ticket to the game for $35 for every home game.
He is the reason that I am a Bills fan to this day.
Gus was a gem that I will never forget and I suspect that I am not alone.

I met Gus very early in my UPS career. I knew Gus to be an exciting and vibrant part of the UPS family and it was always a pleasure to see him in the operation or at events. Rest in peace Gus and thank you for the welcoming smile every time I saw you.

To the Harrison Family
I first met Gus at UPS. While working in a part time capacity, I was recruited to become a Syracuse City Police Officer. I remember telling Gus that I was leaving, and he was so happy for my move assuring me the job was hard but rewarding. Once on the job whenever I ran across Gus, I thanked and embraced him feeling lucky that he was my friend. You will be missed.
