Auna Denise Mustgrove was born October 18, 1957, to Hurel "Luther" Mustgrove and Anna C. Coffey in Dayton, OH. She was raised by her grandmother, Jarretta A. Grigsby, in Evansville, IN. She passed away Sunday, December 8th, with family by her side.
Auna leaves behind her cherished siblings; Huey Mustgrove, Douglas Mustgrove, Eric Johnson, Sabrina Johnson, Paul Brazzle, Lanette (Mustgrove) Jackson, Shawn (Mustgrove) Kelley, and Tjorven Mustgrove. Opal Mustgrove (Stepmother), whom she cherished and communicated with daily. She is survived by aunts and uncles, cousins, numerous nieces and nephews, and host of relatives and friends.
Auna graduated from Memorial High School in Evansville, IN and retired from St. Vincent Hospital as a Patient Care Tech (PCT), after 43 years of service and developed lifelong relationships with the staff, doctors, and patients.
Auna enjoyed watching her television shows, talking on the telephone, watching movies, listening and dancing to music, and spending time with her family and friends. Auna will be remembered by her elegant style of dress and sophistication.
Auna was a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist of Church and was a member of the Mass Choir growing up. She was a follower of The Lord Jesus Christ.
Auna leaves behind her two nieces (and caregivers), whom she loved and adored as her own, Catherine (Sugar) J. Coffey and Dorothyanna (Dot) M. Coffey. She also leaves behind her cherished aunt (Aunt Cookie), Artie Marie Coffey, whom she loved dearly and served as her caregiver.
In lieu of flowers, please send honorary donations to Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, 701 Oak St. Evansville, IN 47713, or Heart to Heart Hospice, 610 E. Walnut St., Evansville, IN 47713. There will be no funeral services or viewing, per her wishes.
