Aurelia Combs Ringel, 100, passed away on Saturday November 29, 2025, peacefully at the hospital surrounded by family
Our mom was born August 31, 1925, the sixth child of Walter Alvin and Aurelia Fredrick Smith in Smithfield, Utah. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1943. She then went to work for Mountain Bell phone company where she was the operator supervisor.
Aurelia married Jay B Combs (deceased) on November 3, 1950. She later married Joseph B Ringel (deceased) on December 31, 1982.
Aurelia is survived by her three children, Vern Combs, Walter (Ellen) Combs, and Rebecca (Robert) Pickett; along with six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Aurelia will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, and grandmother. She was always respectful to others.
She was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monay from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
