This has really crushed everyone who knew him! Although we didnt know him long, he was a super funny, supportive friend to my son Alvin. They played on the same volleyball team, My son was a freshman and he was a senior. It felt like we knew him so much longer than we did. My heart truly hurts for your family. Fly high #21, you will never be forgotten.
Praying for peace and prayers your way.

To hear of Austin's passing was crushing. I watched Jordan and Austin grow up being their neighbor for the last 15yrs. Austin would come and talk to my husband and I giving us an update on his comings and goings. He was an awfully smart funny happy and polite young man. Wear your wings well soldier God had other plans for you.

Austin was my cousin. He was an amazing friend to all and deployed with my step-dad to Kenya. I remember this most recent Christmas, my sister Gatlynn, was clinging onto his leg and wouldn´t let go. So he was walking around the living room with her basically tied to his leg. He said to me "She´s insane" . Heaven claimed another too soon. I know you´re already making everyone smile up there. Rest easy and fly high Austin. You will be missed.

Austin was one of those special people in Bravo Company that could uplift the spirits of guys throughout the company in the worst situations. His contagious smile and always upbeat attitude personally helped me on deployment constantly.

I had just talked to him this past January Drill, I got to catch up with him, talk about life, school and his excitement about getting out of the military.

To hear of his passing has been difficult for myself, and I can only imagine the hole he left behind in your family. My deepest condolences to the Golab family, he will be truly missed.
