Chuck Golab

Chuck Golab passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, in Scottsdale, Arizona, at age 82.
Born on December 15, 1942, in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, Chuck was the eldest of five children of Charles and Kathryn Golab. He grew up alongside his siblings Ann Marie, Bill, Paul, and Jack. Chuck graduated from Irondequoit High School and St. John Fisher College in NY.
Chuck made his home in the greater Phoenix area for over six decades. He thrived in the insurance industry and founded his own agency, Golab & Associates. In 1971, he married the love of his life, Cindy (Noice). They shared a passion for sports that became a central part of their life with their children, Casey and Chad. Chuck devoted many years to coaching their baseball, softball, and soccer teams in his Arcadia community. Later, family watch parties for college and professional sports brought him joy.
An avid supporter of Arizona State University athletics, Chuck was an active member of the Sun Devil Club. He served on its board for thirty years and was elected president in 1983. For decades, he and his family were regular season ticket holders for ASU football and basketball. They never missed Camp Tontozona during his tenure with the Sun Devil Club. There was so much passion for the Sun Devils, none of Chuck's clothes showcased a combination of blue and red, even if entirely unrelated to college sports.
Chuck spent many Thursdays playing golf with the Dust Devils men's group across valley courses. He took pride in managing their tee times, scores, and handicaps.
Chuck's wide circle of friends and family bolstered his spirit when they gathered at his and Cindy's home. It was always open for visits, holidays and special occasions when he was sure to be found at the grill, perfecting burgers or halibut.

A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 7655 E. Main Street, Scottsdale, AZ 85251 on September 22, 2025 at 10 a.m.
