Edith Schubel Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 10, 2025.
Edith M. Schubel ("Edie"), 99, of Scottsdale AZ passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025 with family by her side. Edie was born on August 20, 1926 in Brooklyn NY. She married her husband Henry in 1944 and they settled in New Jersey where they were blessed with two children.
Edie worked for Monmouth Regional High School IN New Jersey where she became the manager of data processing until she retired. Edie loved the beach, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Later in life she resettled in Scottsdale AZ to spend her final years with her children. It was there that she enjoyed her nightly Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy dates with her son and her Manicure/Pedicure outings and Chardonnay "sailaway" parties with her daughter.
Edie is survived by her children Lois Culhane and Henry (Julie) Schubel, both of Scottsdale AZ as well as many nieces and nephews, all of whom cherished her. Edie was preceded in death by her husband, her brothers William and Robert, and her sisters Gloria and Alice.
We would be pleased with any donations to Hospice of the Valley in her name.
