Austin W Irving

Austin William Irving, 28, of Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, passed away on December 31, 2025. He was born on March 18, 1997, in Summit, New Jersey, and was the beloved son of Maureen (née Fitzharris) and Malcolm Irving.
A lifelong athlete, Austin had a deep love for soccer, playing throughout elementary school, middle school, high school, and club levels. He was known as a tough and fearless player, particularly when challenging headers while others hesitated. He was also a devoted and passionate Arsenal fan, following the club with unwavering loyalty.
Golf was another of Austin's great passions. He played courses across New Jersey, New York, and beyond, maintaining an impressive 11 handicap and driving the ball close to 300 yards. Ever generous, he regularly shared golf tips he discovered with friends and family.
Austin lived outside the United States for 12 years, starting in 2000 in the Philippines for two years, then Ireland for another two years, South Africa for 3 1/2 years and finally England for another 4 years. These experiences shaped his worldliness, adaptability, and ease in making friends wherever he went. He had a good sense of humor, enjoyed lively conversation, and connected easily with people. Austin was employed as a Quality Assurance Manager at Choice Aviation in Newark, NJ,
He was an avid fan of films and television series, with a wide and varied range of interests. A true foodie, Austin especially loved a good steak. He grew up enjoying many adventures, including quad biking, paintball, and snowboarding. Competitive by nature, he loved to win, but always with enthusiasm and charm. He also found joy in music and enjoyed playing the ukulele.
Austin is survived by his loving parents, Maureen and Malcolm Irving, and his dear siblings Andrew Irving and Allison Irving. He is also survived by Uncles and Aunts, James, Karen, Barbara, Mark, Patrick and Robert, as well as a host of close friends.
A celebration of Austin's life is currently being planned for a later date. Details will be announced when available.
