Autumn Bosworth passed away on September 11, 2022 near her home in Connecticut at the age of 44.
Born October 22, 1977 in Los Angeles, Autumn spent her childhood and adolescence in California and most of her adult life in Connecticut. She loved to travel, which took her, her wife, and their dogs on adventures across the country and the world. She also had a love of nature and never met a body of water she didn't want to be in.
Autumn surrounded herself with beauty and the arts. She was deeply connected to music. She loved to write poems, and she had an exquisite eye for capturing a single moment with a camera. She was skilled at gardening and added life to the BosGeorge home with flowers, plants, and trees. She leaves a legacy as being a beautifully complex woman who was not only creative, but also sharp-witted, brutally honest, and mischievous.
Autumn enjoyed creating memorable experiences with her niece and nephews by taking them on fun, weekend excursions. She was an amazing woman in her roles as aunt, sister, wife, friend, and colleague. She made friends easily and was devoted to maintaining those relationships through time and distance regardless of whether those connections were made in elementary school at age 9 or at work at age 29.
Autumn is particularly remembered for her kindness, compassion, and generosity. She understood the value of a well-timed, "hello" "I love you" or "thank you" and made it a point to express her genuine gratitude and care for her family and friends. She also selflessly gave of her time in the service of others through volunteerism and advocacy of basic rights for all living things.
Autumn is preceded in death by: her brother, Dean; her mother, Edith; and her grandparents, Mildred and Melvin. She will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of her wife, Susan, her sisters, Shannon and Kenni, as well as her niece, Corrina, and nephews, Connor and Gavin. Autumn also leaves behind her dogs Frances and Michael, a large family of in-laws, aunts, uncles, and cousins, and an even larger chosen family, all of whom she loved fiercely.
That love is reciprocated to Autumn and will continue to be spread into the world by all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held in her honor at a later date. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in her name to Hands on Hartford at https://handsonhartford.org/ or Connecticut Humane Society at https://cthumane.org/.
